NFL football cards

In elementary school, there are many fads upon fads that come and go and resurface but die again. From pogs to crazy bones and Pokémon cards to yo-yos, there was never a solid fad that took hold of grade school students for a long period of time, all except for collecting and trading professional sports cards.

NBA basketball, MLB baseball, and NFL football cards were the most popular among the kids and the holographic ones were the most prized. It definitely lasted for quite some time from when it started back in the 80's until the new millennium came about. Collecting these cards had a good run for its money.
